Wind is from the west at 9 mph. The smoke has dissipated and we are airing out and cooling off our house. But lots of folks have it real bad right now and I’m just griping about a bit of smoke. And being grateful for a temporary lack thereof.

Mainly what I see here is that San Francisco needs a congestion charge .

For what feels lik e the first time all week, I can actually see the sky and clouds. It would be glorious if it wasn’t also currently 94 degrees outside.

Hopefully they can get the fires out soon, they seemed really close to heavily populated areas this time.

I’m down in the South Bay and the air got bad again today. Since I haven’t been out at all today, I can’t actually tell if it’s coming from the CZU or the SCU fire.

It’s worse than yester day here, full haze between me and Mt. Tam. We didn’t leave the house today, I taped up the window better, I could smell it.

South of here by Santa Cruz looks nasty, one of the state parks had all the buildings burn down I think, I saw a picture of foundations.

That’s terrifying. We’re planning a move out to the Bay area in the next 6 months and forest fires are what gives us the biggest pause.
I mean we have floods and tornadoes here but still wildfire is scary.

How times change. It used to be the earthquakes and landslides.
